Anyone know where can I find the buttstock drain hole on an A2 stock?

All I see are two screws on the butt plate.

How often should it be inspected/cleaned?

The ~~lower~~ top screw on the butt plate should have a hole drilled all the way through it. That is the so called drain hole. Unless you plan on submerging your rifle, I would not worry about it. Everytime you fire the rifle and the buffer recoils, it blows out that hole. Even if you have a solid screw, don't worry about it unless you submerge your rifle and even if you do you will notice that the face of the buffer has a series of flats milled around the circumference that will allow any water to escape upon firing and it being full of water.

Isn't it the top screw?

Well, either way one of them has a small hole in it. It just goes into the area where the buffer and spring are. If you are shooting in a downpour, or submerge your rifle, just use a dry cloth to dry out your butt. Maybe use a pipe cleaner to clean the hole itself and put a drop of oil there so the screw doesn't rust.

Top screw should have hole in the center. If you ever put to much clp in the buffer tube your shirt will show it.

My daughter's DI always told the recruits to keep thier butt holes cleanIf pluged can cause problems
