So what tools would I need to build my first AR. So far I have an armorer's tool and a stock wrench. I need to pick up one of the DPMS recevier claw's but what else would I need?

I would go with an action block over the Rec claw type to hold the upper reciver when doing the barreling. The stress is more evenly spred over the reciver. I would get a good set of punchs in diffent sizes. Also a small brass hammer or plastic mallet. A set of jeweler screwdrivers and a foam cover to keep your bear cold!

I have the Claw and like it better than the older style action block that I used to own. If you are doing the lower from parts also you will need some punches also. Brownells makes a nice punch set. They also have some nice roll pin holders that will assist you in the lower build up. I am not completely sure what size roll pin holders or punches you will need but you may find the info in some of the tacked "How To" threads at the top.

If you can afford 'em, these are really nice to have in addition to your regular punches.

I'm right in the middle of my first build, so far I have the lower receiver assembled with the stock, buffer and spring. All I've needed so far, besides a credit card, are duct tape, a small hammer and a small flat head screw driver. I've just bought the upper receiver and my next puchase will be the receiver block. After that I'm not sure, some would say you need a torque wrench for the barrel. But refer to the thread referenced above. It's got all the info you'll need. It certainly helped me.
