I got a new complete lower built with miscellaneous parts that has a black buffer spring.  Completely and obviously black.  Never seen a black one.  Know who made it?  Anything special about it?  Chrome silicon by chance?

Who sells the best mil-spec carbine buffers?  I'm replacing mystery parts with better parts.  Long story.

Thanks for the help.

Only black looking springs I have seen came two each to a stock with the cheap Chinese stocks.

Hmmm.  That may be it.  It came with a generic stock with no markings or logos.

Let me know if you need replacement parts.  I have a full line of buffers and springs.  Wolff XP springs are the best available in my opinion.

I've also just introduced a new buffer for AR15 carbines.  The HSS buffer is optimized for .223, and is intended be an all-purpose solution for folks who shoot other calibers as well.  Benefits include super smooth function, less felt recoil, increased reliability and decreased rate of fire in Full-Auto use.  Any carbine shooter can benefit from installing a HSS buffer.
