Another vote for bronze.

To remove carbon from the bore, you need something more aggressive than nylon.

Bronze for normal cleaning.  Nylon if I'm using copper solvent.

Nylon, or bristle. Not just in the AR, in ALL my rifles.

Phospher Coated Bronze- IMHO Nylon is waaaay to abrasive, even for chrome lined.

Have you ever used any copper solvent ?  After 11 years of just CLP, are you worried about copper build-up ?

If nylon or bronze is way too abrasive, I think I'd throw that barrel away.  There is no bronze or nylon made that will harm chrome let alone any kind of steel.  They're both relatively soft.

I dont have any copper build up and I had a barrel change 6 years ago to a 14.5 with phantom from a 16",I always clean after I shoot, ive got around 10,000 rounds through the new barrel and no accuracy problems or copper build up I use a .45 cal bore brush on the chamber,it works perfect and the bore snake with no problems, also use the same .45 brush for the bolt carrier,I supose if the rifle sat uncleaned I would have to take a bore brush to it but I dont, the chrome is real slippery and easy to clean.I use clp to clean and lube and the rifle is as smooth as glass.
