I was told on at least 2 occasions by different LMT employees that it was, but I have no details about it otherwise......

That would be for the longest confirmed kill - over 2500yds. I think he's talking about the much repeated story that a 16" LMT MWS was used to take someone out at over a 1000yds.

This...on some things you cannot give a 10 chapter book given opsec or similar British policy.

No. Unless there is someone else.
The longest range recorded for a sniper kill currently stands at 2,475 m (2,707 yd) and was achieved by CoH Craig Harrison, a sniper from the Household Cavalry of the British Army. It was accomplished in an engagement in November 2009 in which two stationary Taliban machine gunners were killed south of Musa Qala in Helmand Province in Afghanistan with two consecutive shots by CoH Harrison using an Accuracy International L115A3 Long Range Rifle chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum

The OP wasn't asking what was the longest confirmed kill for theBritish Army....He was asking is the 1000 yard kill the longest for the LMT MWS....Just saying.  Reading is fundamental.
