So I'm currently building a carbine and purchased a DPMS TiN coated bolt carrier group for the upper.  When I bought the barrel, I got a Noveske 14.5in which came with a matched bolt (phosphated).  My question is simple - which should I go with and why?  Should I save the TiN BCG for a different build and buy a carrier assembly to go with my Noveske bolt, or does it not really matter?  Thanks in advance!

i would go with the Noveske. IMO the TiN coating on the dpms stuff is a gimmick. you would find pretty quick that no one here really recommends dpms bcg's. get a LMT or BCM carrier and you'll be GTG.

I'd sell the DPMS thingy with its bling bling coating and just buy a carrier & parts to use with the bolt you have.

Manufacturers that sell barrels will sometimes include a bolt with the barrel.  They due this because they want to ensure the chamber is to spec before it leaves their factory and they want you to be sure it will go bang properly.

Use the bolt provided with the barrel.  Noveske is gtg.
