is the x300 ideal to put on a carbine? i have a SF defender mounted on the side of mine, but those x300s look way more compact.

I use mine only on a handgun, so can't really say, but if you can deal with the switch, or change it to maybe a tape switch, it is a VERY nice little light!

Whenever I want to find the best price I do a Google or Windows Live search for the product I am looking for. It seems to work pretty well. You could also try forum sponsors as a resource.

I shopped the entire net and Calvin definitely has the best deals. I ordered an X300 with the tail assembly pressure switch. Ordered a Surefire IR illuminator too.

Calvin has the best prices on lights as well as other accessories, such as Magpul products. Plus his service is awesome and he ships lightening quick. Great guy to deal with. I got my X300 from him and have a E1L arriving tomorrow, also from Calvin, just in time for a camping trip this weekend.

Got mine from Calvin @ BrightFlashLights as well, to replace the SF M900 that I had. I like this set up much better. Much lighter! Easy to mount just about anywhere you want. The XT tailswitch work excellent as well.
