| Hello. I am putting together a varment rig, have a bull barrell that is not threaded. It is about 7/8" outisde diameter. I would like to try this myself and am curoius what would be the appropriate thread––I intend to mount my new AAC 7.62 suppressor. |

the thread that the suppressor has, would be a great start. my guess 5/8-24.
Note unless you have a lath and can zero off the id of the bore I would not try this. Threads that are not concentric with the bore can cause your expensive can to burst when a bullet strikes it. Barrel OD is never concentric enough with the ID to trust it for a can mount. Spend the cash and have a shop do the work. |
