It's actually the JP tensioning pin that they resell. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and doesn't cause excess wear on the receivers like an Accuwedge can. The only downside is that you need the hex-wrench to open up the rifle.

Hi Troy! Do you use the JP PIN?
I was told that just cause its a little loose it wont cause it to shoot any worse? Now Im not talking sloppy fit now. I can make my Bushmaster 20HBAR wiggle just a hair and its very accurate for a rack grade rifle, ragged holes at 100yrd! My Bushy shorty is rock solid and a pain in the ass to get the pins in/out,But its not as accurate as the 20hbar? |

Because the sights/optics and barrel are all a part of the upper half, have a slightly loose lower isn't inherently any more or less accurate. But, if the receivers are REALLY loose, it coud affect the shooter's ability to hold the rifle on target.
I personally have no use for a tensioning pin myself, but I don't shoot in matches either. If you're looking for ultimate accuracy, then this may be a useful "tool" in your "toolbox". -Troy |
