Which is the best rear sight to use in co-witnessing a Eotech on a flat top. Thanks

They are the same height. I like my #40, my MAD knock off was badly made, but I think the design of the MAD is inferior.

I have a #40 and a GG&G MAD. Even though the #40 gets way more use, the GG&G site broke twice. They were real cool about it and replaced it both times very quick, but still... The MAD used to sit on my secondary gun. After it broke the second time I moved it to the third tier gun. My primary AR has always had a #40.

ARMS 40

GG&G has 2 versions, the older non locking, and the new version with the lock detent.  The old can fold down when you dont want it to, and the new can shear off since its locks into place with little metal to support it.  The spring loaded 40 is there when you need it.

This is after the fact, but I use both the #40 and the GG&G.  The GG&G's I used on not on SHTF guns, and I like how it positively locks back into the same position unlike the #40 which may not snap back all the way, plus it is the lowest height when stowed. This can be a determining factor when mounting with certain ACOG sights.  The #40 is on my SHTF guns though.
Even if the GGG lock is sheared, there is still has a very positive detent (the lock is meant to be sheared rather than the mechanism break.

If anyone wants to trade their #40 for my GG&G MAD, let me know.

I just got the ARMS #40 today. If you have a Bushy you'll need to get a taller front sight post. I went with a set if Trijicon night sights for mine and switched out the front sight post and the stock rear sights that came with the ARMS.

It should sight in fine, I have not shot it yet. The Trijicon front sight post was at least .040 taller than the stock Bushmaster post.

So now I finally have BUIS capability with my Eotech and I can sight at night as well!

I'm happy.

Thank you to C4Grant for all the new toys!
