Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Armalite Free Float Problem - Need Help.

I have a custom barreled upper with an Armalite Fiberglass Free Float Hand Guard.
I am having difficulties mounting the completed upper onto a lower because the threading ring is too close to the lower reciever (front pivot pin). Any thought how to solve this? Does it come from the barrel extension being short?

It very likely has nothing to do with the barrel extension and everything to do with how the FF tube was installed.  Not being familiar with the system or having pics, I can't be of much more help than that, but I'm 99.99% sure it has nothing to do with the barrel extension.  But, who knows.
