1. I am inquiring as to whether or not, most of the posters here are paid members to this site?
2. If so, is it worth the $25.00 for the additional comments in the archives. I'm not new to the M16/AR15. |
I rarely look in the archive, but I think it is worth the $ to support the site. Plus, we get cool stuff.
You're posting this in the wrong section. Try General Discussion, and I do plan on coughing up the money for a TM. I'm quite positive it will be worth it.

The cool stuff in the Team Forum is worth it in my book. The upgraded Archive/Search feature is a definately worth it too.

If I amortize cost into hours spent on the site, it's well worth it.Archive has also been helpful on a few occasions.
I have never used the archieve, but the search function is worth a lot.

Its worth it for the active topics and my topics features . If you hang here often and want to keep up it really helps. That ands you get a cool icon.
The search doesnt go back far enough and the speelchick doe not work. Maybe If I went up another level it might? |
Yes, and I would encourage you to be one also. The "My Active Topics" function is worth it's weight in gold when it comes to keeping track of the threads you have posted in. I would probably pay to support the site even without any extras because of the entertainment value it provides. This site rocks!
Definitely the best money I've spent, the archives have a heck of a lot of info.
Without a doubt the best, and most used, fuction for me. I don't miss anything in the threads I've posted in.....especially the BOTD threads in the Team Forum WIZZO |
It kind of amazes me that there are people who have been here for years, have thousands of posts, sold all manner of stuff in the EE; yet they can't fork over $25 to support the site they spend so much time on.
Check out the sweater puppy thread. Worth every single I have, then some.
Worth waaaaaaay more than $25. |

Better search function
Archives Can use a cool avatar that nobody knows what the hell it is The Butt thread in the members forum (Best thread ever!!) Considering how much $$ we blow on guns and ammo, and how much time we waste on this site, $25 is practically nothing (heck, that's two weekends worth of beer). |
I for one don't believe it's worth paying 25 bucks just to have a little avatar, and the use of a search function that is available on other boards without having to pay for it.........yeah true there IS some good info on here, but it's hardly worth paying for, you can get the same info off other boards.

We have an entire naked women w/ ARs section in team. It's worth the $$.
Yes, and Yes. |

The zingers are back again MarkM is as much a part of ARFCOM as any longtimer here. Would not be the same without him. |

My active topics is worth it alone and you can finally say "tag".
that doesnt even begin to describe that!! shhh let them find out on there own. |
+1 Confusing avatars, sig lines, increased search capability, chance to win some good stuff, BOTD soft core, and a chance to talk about non team members behind their backs. What's not to like? Seydou |
I am not a paying member yet but from what I get from this site as a non paying member had definately been worth the money so I am going to bust out the money once my student loan comes in.

I respect your opinion to feel that way, but here's my take on it. Without paying members, this site wouldn't be where it is today. I'm sure that it takes a lot of money to handle the traffic this place receives. Before the Avila's offered paid memberships, the site was slow as hell. It couldn't be configured the way it is for free. Now it runs pretty smoothly and has grown phenomenonally with the addition of better and faster servers. Just having the website available is worth a bronze membership -- the avatars, search, and archive are just icing on the cake. |

Even with the thousands of members, dealers, and advertisers paying an absolute minimum of $25, I bet this site could still run the average businessman broke. Look at the bottom of the forum selection page at any given time. The least amount of viewers I have ever seen is about 1200 on at one time. I think alot of people don't understand how big ArfCom truly is.
Sadly, I've been a member for almost a year, I frequent the site atleast 4 times a week, and I have ETA: I just went and looked and it said there's currently 4.972 people viewing ar15.com. |
I got banned once. Because of that and the fact there is nothing in the archives I care to discuss that I did not discuss in the thread in the archives already I dont see renewing my membership in my future. The ability to see topics you have posted in is the best feature you get for your money FWIW. I miss the ability to tag...
If I could sign up and pay ONLINE, like people in the 21st Century do, I would.
I am not going to right a check and cute letter and address it, thats BS, call it lazy, whatever. Perry |
It's worth it IMHO before/without any of the added features. I couldn't put a price-tag on what this site has meant to me...
Holy crap, when did you get upgraded? Now we gotta delete all the threads in the Team Forum about you. WIZZO |
I will take the caliber of the individual, and the quality of the information they present, over whether or not they are a team member. |
I love this site, I have built many weapons from the info I have learned here, I'm sorry I did'nt become a paying member earlier.
