Noveske products are top notch and his barrels definately shoot well.  Here's a pic of the lower I bought from John:

I have a pair. I think they're possibly machined incorrectly because the upper to lower fit is sort of "crooked" (sorry, that's the best word I can think of to describe it). I called them last Friday and Cassandra said that "someone" would call me and discuss the problem, I haven't heard back from them yet. Maybe their phones won't be busy again on Thursday. Other than that I guess they look great, the finish is very nice.

Well, your lowers may be machined incorrectly, but that is certainly not a statement applicable to all Noveske receivers.  Remember, John doesn't machine these, they are made for him by CMT.  Maybe they goofed on a batch of lowers.  Do you have any pictures to show how bad the fit is?

FWIW, the one I have fits to my CMT upper receiver perfectly.

Mr. Noveske called me today, but it was right before someone dropped by about a bike I'm selling so our conversation was cut short. I'm going to send him an email since I'd wager it's more convenient for both of us to converse that way.

I understand that my lowers aren't exemplary of typical CMT work. I also am aware that Noveske purchases from CMT. I don't doubt that a reputable company like Noveske Rifleworks will resolve my issue, though I did feel it was worth noting that mine don't match up with an upper as nicely as my Colt or RRA guns. Nobody is perfect and I'm certain my lowers are a fluke. My comments weren't meant as a dig at CMT or N.R.

When you say pair, do you me an upper/lower set from Noveske or a pair (i.e. 2) of Noveske lowers?  If the latter, are you matching the same upper to each lower?  If so, what manufature is the upper?  If you are noticing the same improper fit on two separate lowers with one upper, I'd definitely explore the possibility that the upper may be what's out of spec.

Two N.R. lowers fit crooked on uppers from Colt, RRA and CMT(that fit perfectly on their host lowers). Comparing the fit with other uppers was the first thing I thought of.
