In a .223 DPMS kit gun, what ammo would you recommend? I bought 1,000 rounds at a gunshow, but not sure of the quality of the ammo. Do any of you more serious shooters have preferences?

What is the brand on the ammo you bought at the gunshow?

It is marked as OMC factory new, 223 Remington, Winchester 55gr FMJ. I have a card that was in the ammo cans, OMC stands for Outdoor Marksman Corp, their website is outdoormarksman.com.

Your Good To Go with .223. Is your barrel marked .223 or 5.56? Sounds like .223 on the barrel, so don't run 5.56 in it.

The barrel is marked 223.

First of all I think you might get alot more response on this if you ask it in the ammo forum. Second Winchester should work good for you as long as it is .223 and not 5.56. How much did you pay for it?
