Can we agree to write in the ammo price (plus shipping), along with the link?
Links go dead all the time so a week later the deal may vaporize and we won't know the price. This also lets us track the pricing trends over the long term. I'm interested in seeing 12 gauge ammo deals, preferably buckshot and slug shells. 12 gauge is also a platform caliber/gauge used by the U.S. Military so there's that. |

Saltech 308 Win Ammunition Range Line ST308147FMJ 147 Grain Full Metal Jacket CASE 520 Rounds
Our Price: $384.99 Per Round Cost: 0.740 SKU:ST308147FMJ CASE Weight: 28.08 LBS Caliber:308 Win Bullet Weight: 147 Gr Bullet Type: Full Metal Jacket Case Type: Brass LINK OutdoorLimited 308 Saltech 147gr Has anyone tried this ammo? Either recently or in the past. Does Saltech (Swiss) have a good reputation for small arms ammo? Inexpensive, plinking ammo in .308 Win / 7.62x51 I bought a box and the primers are sealed and crimped. The box says .308 Win, and case is stamped 7.62 SL 21 I assume 21 is the year of production (2021). I plan to fire some from my new PSA PA-10 (AR platform) 0.308 Win 20" barrel in a week or two. Mainly for break-in and practice. But I am no marksman... |

As I wait for a day without lots of wind, I pulled a bullet from the Saltech (Swiss) .308 147gr FMJBT and took some measurements.
The primers are sealed and crimped. The bullet has sealant, most stayed on the inside of the case, little on the bullet I pulled. But they do have sealant. Bullet length 1.123", dia 0.3085" (with my calipers, FWIW). More in the pics shown in the links. Link Pulled Bullet pic LINK Cartridge dimensions |

Anyone using the Target Sports Ammo+ membership that can speak to if the 8% off is worth it right now given their prices compared to others? I feel like I don’t ever see deals posted that link to them.
Also, Flash Sale @ Natchez w/ free shipping for the next 2 days. CCI Independence 115gr 9mm for $249.99 & CCI Blazer Brass 115gr 9mm for $259.99. |

Ammo shortages were not easy to deal with because I couldn't even get ammo that I was paying the membership fee for. However, the convenience of being able to order a few boxes of certain types/calibers to test out and still get free shipping (plus the 8% discount, which usually translates to the cheapest pricing you can find eslewhere) is pretty nice. I usually try to do case orders every quarter. I haven't run the exact math to see how much I've saved over the membership fee, but their prices are usually competitive and the + discount really adds up. The free shipping alone makes it worth it for the amount I order every year. Their yearly free gift is mostly useful, but don't expect anything more than an ammo can with a minimal cleaning kit, or something else worth less than $10 or so. |

What makes it a deal for me is free shipping any amount, which makes it real easy to toss in a couple boxes of 6.5 CM or 45-70 with an order. |

I just started looking for ammo again and with the discount they are better priced on many things. You'll still sometimes find better deals elsewhere, just have to price shop. As others posted the membership is a big help if you are regularly buying a few boxes at a time instead of full cases as you get free shipping even if you just order 1 box. |

For those of you all looking for some Blind Barrier 223 ammo...223 Rem 64 Grain Nosler Bonded Solid Base Norma MLE Service Ammo
Its not cheap, ( slightly less than a buck a round ) but given the quoted 2,535 fps velocity from a 11.5" barrel, I would like to think its a decently fast ammo from a longer barrel. It also has quite a few desirable features. FWIW, the Nosler .223 64gr factory load ( previous test ) only did 2560fps from my 20" CHF , and 2510fps from my 16" V-Seven "64gr Bonded Solid Base projectile Norma Precision Brass Case Nickel plated Staked Primer Flash Suppressed anti fouling powder, Sealed and waterproofed Case Mouth" https://www.sgammo.com/product/223-556mm-ammo/560-round-can-223-rem-64-grain-nosler-bonded-solid-base-norma-mle-service-amm 11.5" Ballistic gel test results... |

What has happened to Zinc Point MFG?
The link to their site is dead https://zincpoint.com and I fear they may have succumbed to bad reviews, BBB ratings (they have an "F" rating but a 4.1/5 star customer rating) or that series of "Zincpoint 9mm blew up in my face" videos. If you live in the Midwest near a Mills Fleet Farm: they have Blazer Brass 9mm on sale for $0.22 per round (plus tax) and Winchester white box .223 on sale for $0.4667 per round. (Friday and Saturday only from the looks of it).
Neither is a spectacular deal compared to the past (the 9mm is a better deal than the 223 anyway), but it at least beats most anything available online these days. |
