Currently I have an arms 22m68 mount for my aimpoint... right now my aimpoint is mounted on the hump of the rasII so it cowitnesses...

i'm thinking of getting a shotgun with a cav. arms. rail on top... what height is the aimpoint going to be compared to the ar15?  Do i need the modular spacers?  I want to be able to throw the lever off my ar15 and put it on my shotgun at a moments notice...  i don't want to hassel with screws... i want a quick change out that will hold a zero... and still be at the same height as a normal ar...

how are aimpoints/red-dots on shotguns.... any experience?  hunting application?  bird/trap etc?

Thanks for any help!

Sinistral Rifleman at CavArms designed his stock and rail to duplicate the flattop rail on the AR.  Since you currently run your AimPoint on the RAS II hump, which is .460" higher than the flattop rail, it won't work when transferred to the shotgun.  You'd need to add the (full) spacer between the ring and base to get the extra .460" back on the shotgun.

If you were mounting the AimPoint on the lower rail (either in front of or behind the hump) of the RAS II, you'd already be using the full spacer, and then your AimPoint would transfer directly to the shotgun.
