LOL, truth be told I despise no one. If anything I find them entertaining. I am not one of those types that get's upset over what people say about me on the internet.
Now what DOES bother me are liars and or people that hide behind fake screen names to bad mouth other companies.
So let's back up several years and set the record straight so you understand where I am coming from. I have been an ARMS dealer for many years (buying directly from ARMS and from their AUTHORIZED Distributors). I have used (mounted on my own personal weapon) just about EVERY ARMS products known to man. I have also sold a large amount of ARMS products and made Dick S. a good chunk of money.
I have had my personal ARMS mounts become loose on my rail, chew through the anodizing and not hold zero. I had no problem with this and just kept on going becuase I THOUGHT this was normal and there really wasn't any other options out there (as far as I was concerned).
So one day I am reading the technical forums and see this pic posted by SMGLee of a mount with a lever on it. I thought it looked interesting and called up Mr. LaRue and discussed his product. He sent me one for review and I was VERY impressed with it. About a month or so later I become a LT dealer.
About this same time a board member (MCGrubbs) got some of LT's products and began testing them out. He found out that they held zero and that you could adjust the lever to match your rail (as all rails deviate some in size). As he discovered the virtues of LT products he began to share his new find with the board (thinking he was doing them a service). He was ridiculed and called all sorts of not so nice names for simply showing a new product. It is funny to me that the folks on here that think they are being persecuted for liking ARMS products were some of the loudest hecklers towards Monty.
As they say "what goes around comes around!"
So to make a long story short, ARMS had and held the market for the longest time. There were the ONLY option for many. LaRue Tactical has appeared on the scene (mostly because of the Military's request) and is offering people a choice in throw levers. It is a GREAT thing to have choices and this is why I don't understand all the hatred from the ARMS faithful. They should be thrilled that someone else is trying to build a better mouse trap. Imagine if we just had Aimpoints and no other optics to choose from. Wouldn't that suck???
I sell a good many ARMS products and think they are a good choice, but I PERSONALLY put them behind LT in quality and capablility. This is of course just my opinion (based on years of experience) and have ZERO problem if people either disagree or don't like what I have to say. I am always interested in debating the technical merits of each companies products (as I sell and use both).
