Before i found this site i purchased a 20in. ASA A2 rifle.I've only put 50 rounds through it(no problems)it's an H-Bar.I'd like to put a lite weight barel it,should i get rid of this complete upper and go with a different brand or just get another barel from anothetr company?I've read many bad things about these ASA uppers but the fit and finish on this rifle is the nicest i've seen, any sugestions would be much apriciated>

The upper receiver is fine. That's one of the parts that ASA had nothing to do with in its manufacture. I've had good luck with chrome lined barrels from Bushmaster, DPMS and RRA.

All of the problems I've seen with ASA rifles are related to the gas port or chamber.
