I've got an ASA 9mm upper that I been using on a Sp-1 lower. I'd like to use it on my colt sporter lightweight 7.62X39 too. The problem is the hammer pin on the sporter is the big one and the ASA hammer has the small hole. Has anybody adapted a big pin hammer to work an ASA 9mm upper? It looks like you could just grind down the upper sharp edge of the hammer until it quit blocking the carrier. You'd need a better drill bit than I have to drill out the pin hole and ASA doesen't make a big pin hammer. I know the carrier can be milled out but I want to stumble around for a while first. Mikke

Contact joeblack on the boards...he ramps RRA and colt 9mm bolt so you can use your standard hammer...I suppose he can do a ASA bolt as well
