I'd like to increase my sight radius on my 16" upper by moving my front sight out toward the muzzle.

I've seen a clamp-on front sight for an AR but I don't know who makes it and I can't find it in Brownells. It's one that does NOT use the gas block to attach - it clamps directly on the barrel. The front sights that use the gas block are no good to me because it doesn't increase my sight radius.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks W-W, but I can only find ones on the Armalite and GGG web sites that use the gas block.

Champions Choice, Sinclair International, and Scott Medesha Firearms have AR 15 front sight barrel bands with sight bases that clamp onto the end of the barrel.  These are primarily used with match rifles.  Not sure this is what you are seeking.  They all have web sights.

bushmaster makes a clampon/folddown front sight that clamps around the factory shaved gasblock, however I mounted mine on the end of the bbl but was really tricky getting it right!!!
