A friend has an AR15 with the Rock River standard single action trigger.
It has a heavy pull  that  seems in excess of the 6 to 8 #  published pull.
He suggests to glass bead the trigger parts.
I told him NO, polish only without removing metal
Any suggestions?

I also used a Rock River Arms Lower Parts Kit in my build, and recently stopped by my friends who has scale to measure the trigger pull. He had an 8lbs scale, and the pull was off the chart. It is releasing around 10-11lbs. I'm considering an ALG Defense ACT fire control group for my build.

Buy a Rock River two stage match trigger and you will never look back.  They are the best factory triggers out there and with a little polishing in the right places, they are as good as any high priced aftermarket.

+1 here. I followed the gentlemans advice and it worked incredibly well. Less than $15.00 invested and less than an hour of labor. Big difference.
