Doh! No wonder I never did see one in person...but normally el cheapo AKs are not dressed up like our AR15s. Oh well.

I purchased one of the Ultimaks back before Christmas. It does work as advertised but I did note that it may not be 100% Milspec in the rail cuts. I had one mount that wouldn't affix to it at all but have had no problems with it on any other rail. All in all I would recommend it with a thumbs up to anyone looking. I believe Brugger and Thomet has a rail for the AK but I think it's specific to one countries gun and not available in the US anyway.

B&T has couplle things for AK family... This is for Sako92 (RK95 in FDF): http://www.finnrappel.fi/w_m92.htm This is for generic AK (not for ones with 90 degr. gasblock thougt) http://www.finnrappel.fi/opsights.htm Finski

Is the Sako 92 a Galil clone?

Hmmmmm. I smell a wonderful market opportunity here. If a clone of the HK mount can be had for about $85.00, it would be hard to get the same folks to do the same thing with this aborted KAC design. I'm using that approach in a novel i'm working on, BTW.
