will an ACOG fit on an A1 upper?

Yes provided you have the proper screw for the carry handle.

so they will fit A1 with the screw? hmmm. thanks. I may build myself a new rifle soon.

i'm thinking of building an old a1 style carbine and want to make sure i can put an acog on it.

Answer is still yes to the A1 upper. Still need the mount screw. Can either be gotten from Trijicon for $19 + shipping or I have a few for less $.
