I have an ACOG installed on my flat top AR-15. I sighted in the ACOG at 100 yards and I like it a lot.
The problem is that at my local range, the longes they have is 50 yards and the sight hits high. I assume it is because I have it kind of mounted high. Is the a lower mount for an ACOG? I have an ADM B2 QD mount.I like that mount, but is there a lower option? |

Has the scope run out of adjustment? The ADM B2 should place the ACOG at the ideal height. No problem with running it out of clicks (adjustment). I find it very odd that it is so far off at shorter distance (50 yards). The only thing I could think of is that the ADM B2 was too high. You know, that trigonometry math angle thing. I though that if there was a lower mount it would solve it. But you are correct, that is optimal hight for the cheek weld. I never had this problem when I had a Eotech on the same rifle. It was pretty much on target at 50 and 100 yards. |

I don't know what to tell you but I can share my experience. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v632/zack3gpics/gunpr0n/80397d73.jpg This rifle has a TA31F in a LaRue mount. It is sighted POA=POI @ 100yds. at 50, the bullet impacts somewhere between the middle and bottom of the chevron. At 25, between the bottom of the chevron and the top of the line. Thanks Zac. I'll be going to the range next weekend to sight my new 31F in, and was curious about that. Gene |

zero it at 25 yds using the 300m meter mark for poa/poi. This is good enuff for combat, should work for u 2! Thank you. I took it back out to the 50 yard range today and that seemed to indeed do the trick. For 50 yards, I just aim using the area within (below the point of) the arrow and for 100 the top of the arrow. Bullseye! Love it! Thank you all. |
