HI, I am considering buying an ACOG from a buddy that has no idea what model it is. I have only seen a pic he sent me.  It lacks the fiber optic  line over the top. After looking at Trijicon's website, it looks like the only ones that don't have the fiber optic is the 4x mag.  Is this true?   It looks to me like a TA01, it has a crosshair reticle (not sure what color yet).  Any idea what magnification or model it is?  I realize this is not much information to go on, I will see it next week.  I just wanted to go in with some knowledge before I offered him any money.  Any info will be greatly appreciated.

thanks, Merry Christmas,

A TA01 most likely. Has a ret glowing reticle

The TA01NSN has back up iron sights on top and a yellow glowing reticle

I wouldnt give more than $500 or so for a TA01 and 650-700 for a NSN

I wouldn't give $500 for the NSN, yellow isn't a good color and the iron sights on top are just about worthless.

I would give $650-700 for a TA-01.

It's more green than yellow.

Actually it's Amber in the NSN and only a small portion glows.

The TA-01 with it's full red illumination is more to my liking.

NOTE: Those body outlines aren't part of the view when looking through the scopes.

More of that reticule is illuminated than that picture shows.  It is also not a dark amber like that.  Red is not as easy to see at night as yellow/green.
