I am in the market for an ACOG. I have a Colt LE6920 that I am looking to put it on. I am trying to decide between the three below. The reason I have narrowed it down to these three is that I am looking to trade for an ACOG and these are my choices/trade offers. Any input or insight would be greatly appreciated. I am former LEO and Military and am just looking for a SHTF/Longer Range Plinking optic. I like the BAC concept as it aids in the illumination of the reticle during dusk, dawn and overcast days. I am also torn between 4x32 or 3x30. Please look at the below link and let me know your thoughts/experiences please.
T33R-8 or TA01-NSN or TA31F Links now work. |

link didnt work for me.
i have a colt 6920 as well. i recently picked up a ta33-8 on the bay. I LOVE my ACOG!!! i only have used it once, and on a 50 yard range. but it is fantastic. the glass is clear and the chevron works great. i havent tried any of the other ones...but my ET512 might be for sale soon. |

I prefer the more generous eye relief of the TA33 to that of the 4x32 ACOGs. I noticed that the field of view on the 4x32's are greater than that of the 3x30's. That being said, does anybody know which one is faster to get on target for short range work. I read a user review on another website that said he had used/owned both and found that even though the field of view on the TA33 was greatly reduced he thought it was quicker on target than the TA31F. Anybody else experienced this? |

Anybody else experienced this? Field of view is nice, but when you have to glue your eye socket to the optic in order to see anything, you'll quickly forget how wide the FOV is. I probably have more rounds downrange with the TA31 than the TA33 and I still prefer the TA33. Yes, it is faster to get on target, in my experience. |

I prefer the more generous eye relief of the TA33 to that of the 4x32 ACOGs. Me too, but one of the reasons I didn't replace my TA31F when it got stolen was that the view was so huge it felt like watching a damned movie. That, and my eye wanted to follow the red reticle rather than look thru the scope and on the target area. I don't have that problem with the amber reticles and am much happier with the TA33. |
| I very much prefer the original crosshair design of the TA01 for making intermediate to longer range hits. The donuts and chevrons have never been that great for precision at the longer ranges. When shooting at smaller targets at longer ranges, the ability to have an actual crosshair has been very advantageous for me. |

I know its not listed but ta11 hands down Those things are freakin' huge.... I had one and ended up giving it to a friend who wanted an ACOG. Huge compared to what? Better ER than an 01/31, and better FoV than a 33. I really like both of my 11's on a pair of 12.5 SBR's, but to each his own. |

I did not care for the 3x TA33 models as the field of view was very narrow. The eye relief is better than the 4x models though. I ended up with the TA31F, but another choice would be the 3.5x TA11 series. These have a better field of view the 3x's and the eye relief is better than the 4x's.

I personally prefer the TA33’s myself, I do not like the TA01-NSN models. We have the TA33’s, TA31F, and the TA01NSN in stock and will meet. We have a USE TA01 with a TA01-NSN RET. in it.
