I'm legally restricted to a fixed stock, and it's between these two ACE models.
Does anyone have experience with BOTH?  Any pros/cons between the two?

Also, how easy (or, how possible) will it be to change over the sling mounts to pushbutton type sockets (both stocks ship with traditional Uncle Mike's QD stud type swivels, which I hate).  Thanks-

Ive had both and prefer the top one. Infact its the only stock on both my ARs, IMO, it is the strongest Stock out there. And the LOP is perfect for me.

I got my ACEs used and didnt come with mounts, so I ordered a swivel mount from ACE for mine, they are traditional type mounts (like what is on the front of an AR) but swivels and I use a quick release single point sling. Works fine for me.

I have both. The top 1 came on a Bushmaster modular carbine before the ban expired - and is a very comfortable stock to shoot, very sturdy. The bottom one I used on an ultra lightweight build. It is comfortable as well.

All in all - if weight is not an issue i would go with the top one - and if I wasnt adding up the weight of companents prebulid - i'm not sure i could have told the difference.

I've had both. I prefer the top, it's my favorite stock.

The lower one is good also, but I think it looks too long on the back of the rifle.

Ace's ARFX (top, below) is a great, strong stock; fairly lightweight and there is a buttpad extension that adds close to an inch if you need it. Their Ultra Light (middle, below) is a nice light fixed stock, but it uses just the buffer tube. Another in the same vein is the Yankee Hill Ultra Light (bottom, below) that has its own tube for support in addition to the buffer tube - it's a sturdier item and still fairly lightweight. Any of the three works for me, but the ARFX is probably the one I'd choose if I had to,
