There are MASSIVE improvements that could be made to both of these cartridges (without adding too much cost) including: x39 - utilizing/designing a supersonic bullet which can properly deform without too much loss of mass. Currently the best I've seen in the Hornady 123gr SST - lot of room for improvement. x39 - a subsonic projo that is actually matched to the relatively slow 1:9.5tw found on most AKs x39 - taking advantage of all the KNS-like systems out there to help dial in a quiet and reliable subsonic load. 6.5CM - making ammo that is actually designed to perform well with the increasingly shorter barrels (16-20") found on both bolt and gas rifles 6.5CM - designing ammo for either Bolt or Gas applications. 6.5CM - pushing solid coppers at higher RPM to enhance expansion even at lower impact linear velocities. Over-stability is a myth with precision made projectiles! just off the top of my head... |

On the 6.5CM we are making it, it just needs to get packaged and put online. Should happen late next week. On the 7.62X39 we are looking at most likely late September or early October. Thanks, Jamin |

The house bullets seem to be branded as OTM. If I was guessing, I’d say the 140 bthp is the Hornady bullet.
Placed an order for both 140gr options. I also ordered some 5.56 69smk non cannelure. Depending on when it arrives, I may be able to test by early next week. |

i just ordered 300 rounds of the 6.5 creedmore otm to try out. If its MOA i will be a happy person.
now we need some hunting 6.5 creedmore and 7.62x39. Hint i like the SST for 7.62x39 if you can make something like that or slightly better that would be amazing. |

My 6.5CM 140OTM is in the Mail. I’ve only got a Sig across to test it with, but I’ve been pretty impressed with how it shoots too. I’ve got that and some 77 TMK coming, and I hope to god it shoots half as good as BH because if so I’m finally back in business on the 77TMK front.

This weekend I was able to get out to the camp and shoot a little before I started bushhogging. Rifle is a Bergara Premier in whatever chassis they use with a Trijicon accupoint 5x20. I was shooting off a BOG tripod and its wiggling so I believe I could have done better. I only shot two five round 100 yd groups because it was hot, and I couldn't get my BOG to tighten down well. One group was 5/8 and the other was 7/8. I am very happy with the results.

The 140smk is loaded a bit shorter than the 140bthp.
 The 140 bthp coal is almost dead in line with the Hornady AG 140’s, which is right at mag length for Magpul mags.

I would like to know if this is considered a hunting bullet specifically for deer size game. below is the description on PSA website. I can't remember but I thought they @Jman_JJE said it was like an SST but better.

Longer than the 140gr BTHP Winchester and Norma 143gr Golden Target I have. Not as long as the 140gr and 147gr Hornady ELDM, mostly due to the ballistic tip. |

Off topic but if I had access to a longer range than 300yds, I'd grab up a 6.5 just because of AAC and my pleasure shooting their 5.56 77gr.
I'll definitely pick up some Grendel from them...can't wait! |

Finally had a chance to get to the range, albeit if just for a few minutes.
Rifle used was a 22” LaRue Ultimate Upper build, TBAC 30p-1 suppressor. The first group (Target 9) included the clean cold bore. I then switched to the 140smk on Target 8. I probably should have fouled the barrel when swapping targets, but it is what it is. I followed up with 1 more group of the 140smk’s on target 3. Mt daughter tried her hand with the large frame gasser on Target 6, but wasn’t able to drive it as well as she can a 223/5.56. Take aways: based on limited testing, both rounds are very precise, especially at their price point. The 140smk rds cycled better in this particular build than the 140bthp’s. I noticed 2 stove pipes when my daughter was shooter her group. This build doesn’t have an adjustable gas block, so it could have been the ammo/suppressor combo that caused an issue. The 140smk’s felt a bit hotter on the recoil impulse, and ran flawlessly. I’ll definitely be grabbing more of this to feed my large frame gassers.

Had the chance to shoot some AAC 6.5CM from my Cross. Using a front rest and rear squeeze bag. The BTHP and SP both produced 5-shot groups under an inch. The GF isn’t even a shooter, after a 30 second tutorial on how to use the squeeze bag she fired off 3 shots of the BTHP that you could cover with a quarter. Especially given the price of the ammo, I’m VERY impressed.
