I recently acquired a ARMS #39 A2 gooseneck mount that is shown in the picture below. I believe this to be a early model, as it does not have the Picatinny rails on the part that attaches at the top of the carry handle. My question is, does anyone know what the four holes in the mount shown in the picture are for? Possibly some type of accessory mount?

there was a Picatiny Rail with ears that mated up to that

OK...very interesting...thanks for that information doc_Zox. I would like to see one of those if anyone would have one, and be willing to post a picture, or email me a pic to: [email protected].
I'm wondering if these can still be obtained...anyone know?
