I'm thinking about building an SBR. I've found these guys selling some nice looking 9mm upper conversions:
http://www.9mmar15.com

Has anyone had any experience with they're products?

Thanks,

Mark

I e-mailed them about 2 months ago and got a reply (can't remember his name) saying none of his stuff is ready for "primetime."  He also said he was seriously considering whether he even wanted to get into selling anything.

I was dissapointed because I especially liked the DoD.

Find Mike@TSC, he has a nice short upper that is more of a modern upper. with thread and 3-lug like the MP5 family.  He post here occassionally, of find him at subguns.com.

Mike are we capable of buying the barrel and rail assembly from you? I already have the upper and bolt I want. That DOE is so cool!

I just got one of these M4 DOE uppers from Mike at TSC and I can assure you that it is of very high quality.  Very well designed and very well put together.

Do you find it heavy?  The barrel is full-profile.

I would call it "stout."  It is a full-profile barrel, but it's only 7-8 inches long.  I got it primarily to use with my M16A1, so the extra mass is kind of a nice feature, both for controllability and heat absorption.

Very true about control.  I have the M4 DOE and it was quite the shock to find out how heavy it is compared to my Colt DOE upper.

Excellent -

Let's talk price.  How much for the DOD or Commando style upper?
