Can you put a 9mm barrel and bolt on a 223 M4 upper or do you need to get a 9mm upper?

You can use a .223 upper receiver for a 9mm setup.  If you are doing the Colt setup, then you put on a 9mm barrel and put in the 9mm Colt bolt and then add the magwell adapter.  However, if you are wanting to do something along the lines of an Oly 9mm upper, then you will have to have someone add the spring loaded ejector to the upper receiver.  I am assuming you were talking about doing something along the lines of a Colt setup.

I wanted to stay Colt but they do not offer a 9mm upper in flat top config, that is untill I get mine built and then they will prob. offer one... LOL
