Can I put in a 7.62x39 bolt and enhanced firing pin in a regular carrier and be done? Or do I need a whole new 7.62 BCG, or do nothing and use a normal BCG yes I was looking at a $85 bolt from maxim but AIM has complete 762x39 BCGs for $99. |

Get an actual 7.62x39 bolt. There is some difference and it will function better. Thats if you dont want to buy an entire 7.62x39 bcg.

you can use a 5.56 bolt carrier but need a 7.62 x39 BOLT

Hi,
You can just use a USGI bolt carrier with a 7.62x39 bolt and extended firing pin. Since some of the older 7.62x39 surplus is still corrosive it's not a bad idea to have A rust resistant coating like NiB or Melonited on the carrier and bolt, but not necessary. Regards: |

Thanks for the replies. I have 2 spare complete BCG's on hand, did not feel like buying another.
I ordered a Tactical Ambush bolt that they have on special for $39, and a enhanced firing pin. |
