I built a 6.8 SPC and used a standard buffer and spring.  Now, even though it functions great, every shot I can feel the buffer recoiling and can hear the spring.  It obviously doesn't affect the functionality but it is annoying.  Should I use a different buffer and spring or just live with it?

You might try one of Spike's heavier buffers. They put Tungsten powder in them to make them heavier and reduce recoil

Can't really confirm it  but several of the knowledgable guys on 6.8 forums have said to use the lightest bufferf you can.
