I built my first AR about 3 years ago and it's been a great gun. I have recently been wanting to lighten it up a bit since it does seem a bit heavy and anybody that holds it for the first time says just that. Anyway, kind of on a whim, I started looking around and ran across a Diamondhead VRS hand guard. The more I looked at it the more I liked it. So, I found one for a decent price and ordered it, along with a PWS FH/comp and a low  pro gas block. I replaced the Badger Ordnance hand guard, YHM FUFS/gas block combo and a Smith Ent. Vortex FH. Wow! what a difference in weight and feel. I really like the Diamondhead hand guard and I'm sure I will like the PWS comp. I have one on my other AR and really like that one. Anyway, here are the before and after glamor shots.
