On sale at Midway. Says made in Japan, assembled in the PI. At 13oz not light, but not a big deal for me.

Looks like their copy of the Vortex Spitfire AR, which is only useable on 16+ MOA targets in my experience.

I had one when it first hit the market years ago (10 years perhaps?).  Glass is decent.  However, the huge flaw is that reticle.  1X is not conducive to BDC, especially a busy one.  The reticle looked like a black blob (or red blob with illumination on) All of us 3 gunners dumped this unit after purchase.  We tried to get Burris to reconfigure this reticle as it has potential, however, no one listened.
There is a reason for that fire sale price.

My eyes wouldn't even make out the BDC markings. Mainly thinking of the green circle-dot portion for use on a house gun.

If that's the case, there are better choices out there OP.  An example is the PA 1x SLx (which is what I'm running on my 9mm and 223 carbines) - https://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-slx-1x-microprism-with-green-illuminated-acss-cyclops-gen-2-reticle

I would rather only the circle and dot were iluminated.  That other stuff just muddies it up.  It can be used with a magnifier tho, and then the BDC might have some value, but still wish it weren't lit up.

At 1x, the whole AR-1X reticle is a real cluster F. We've tried it in a dark shoot house and when lit up, it was too much/too busy for CQB type shooting.  Those are reasons why we ditched it since Burris didn't listen to people who actually used what this thing was intended for.

ETA - Not meaning to trash Burris over this but actual consumer feedback is important IMO.  I am a huge Burris supporter, and have 6 other Burris optics of different flavors, they are solid/GTG.

That's the thing that always kept me from biting on the Burris Prisms.
But PA has been killing it lately.

It's in the Q&As on the Midway website.

I realize there are other options out there. I asked about the Burris for the price. The PA is more than $100 over the Burris and right now I'm pinching pennies.

This was a suggestion on the same midway page and is what I'd get instead.

Then go research it yourself. I'm going by what's on the Midway Q&As. So sue me.

They were sooo close to perfection in a 1x prism, but then they had to put another ring in there.  Why do these people overthink this shit so?!?!?

I agree the outermost ring seems superfluous, but it doesn't seem horribly detrimental either.

It's unnecessary, the inner ring should stand alone as the thin one..
