Over two years to build and maybe more to collect some of the parts.
The color is darker but my phone camera made it light.

Nice! Is it an original receiver, or did you modify an existing one?

I made the upper from a A2 upper .
I also made the scope mount and the front sight base.

Awesome, I did one for a member here several years ago. Would love to see pics of your process on the upper.
Edit: And that FSB!
This is what I came up with from a modified FSB.

Like everyone else, appreciate the work and attention to detail you put in.  It looks great.

BTW, what is the plan for a sling?  Is there a specific one to this model or just a cotton or seatbelt sling?

And yes, more info and pics would be great.  What is the view of the fsb through that scope?  I am assuming its a true leatherwood.

Here are some more pics.
I used a Realist 3x9 ART scope.
I am still looking for a ART 2 scope.

Amazing build!  I’d never even heard of that one until I saw yours.

Any idea of a good place to find the history of that AR?

Wow!  That turned out great!!  Only you could master a project like that!!!

Thanks again for all the re-weld projects that you have done for me over the years! My favorite is still the XM177E2.

John,

Thank-you for putting up with me bugging you about these uppers for the last 2 years. You really did knock it out of the park on this project and the 2 custom weaver rail mounts.
