Has anyone had a chance to test out the new Picmod Handguard from Bootleg? I am on fence between this and the BCM KMR and just wanted to hear people's opinion on it.

Its a legit product guys. Aim has some in stock. I though about trying one but may stop it and check one out at Aim first.

Just joined today...planning my new AR build. As another individual stated, Bootleg is a sister company to Primary Arms. The Picmod system is partnered with BCM as it uses the KMR attachment system.

Lots of new members seem to be advertising for companies that aren't sight sponsors here. Its a fairly regular thing these days.

I just mounted the 15" Bootleg PicMod rail on my AR last week and I love it.  Fit and finish is excellent.  As stated above it used the same mounting/barrel nut as the BCM rail.  It also includes the BCM barrel nut wrench.  If I remember to take a few pics this evening I will post them up.

There has been shilling in the past for MAJOR players also....

Do an Archives search for LWRC and Paul Leitner Wise.

That was ALMOST amusing.

That being said, LWRCi (the CURRENT company) has zero relationship to the prior scam artist. They ran Paul Leitner Wise out of the company.

This. Also remember how Anderson shilled this board for YEARS.

BCM has them on their site assuming with their approval they are good to go.
You can buy just the hand guard  from Bootleg and if you like add TI barrel nut and hardware from V7 Weapons (who also has BCM's blessing)
BCM must have given them their blessing since they attach using BCM KMR hardware

Yep, I got an email from BCM that they were being introduced. This was probably a couple months ago. Uses BCM's barrel nut and screws and was an approved design by BCM.

I'd like to see one on a 16" barrel.
