I believe it's an M4A1 carbine with Block 2 CQBR upper, because we couldn't find any NSN or official document which designates "Mk 18 Mod 1."

What do you think?

Lowers really have nothing to do with it.

An Aston Martin Cygnet is different from the Toyota iQ, but they all ride on the same chassis.

well MK18 Mod0s are on A1 lowers, the same upper on an M4A1 lower is a CQBR.

In Japan, many people believe Mk 18 Mod 1 does exist, since some airsoft manufacturers sell M4A1 w/ Block 2 CQBR setup as Mk 18 Mod 1.

I assume that's the origin of the misunderstanding.

Airsofters can call it what they want. In America the MK18 Mod 1 is a made up nomenclature. It does not exist in the US Mil.

I just wanted to make sure Mk 18 Mod 1 does not exist. Thank you everyone.

Modified MK 18 MOD 0s - MOD 1s?

Upper receivers are not a serialized item, and therefore do not require an "M" or "MK"-type nomenclature - so all of the names/terms used by enthusiasts to describe the "shorty" M4A1 configuration is a fabrication and shorthand.  "Officially" an M4A1 is an M4A1 is an M4A1 whether it has a 14.5" barreled upper, a 10.3" barreled upper, or uses components from the SOPMOD program or not.

The supply nomenclature for NSN 1005-01-498-1913 is "Receiver, Automatic Gun," and slightly more generically and descriptively - "Navy issue M4A1 CQBR upper receiver with 10 inch barrel."

"SOPMOD" is the acronym for the Navy's SOCOM accessory development program.  The "Blocks" or "Increments" are simply "generations" of accessories, while "Phased Replacement" simply refers to the phased replacement of one accessory within a classification with another.

"CQBR," like "CNVD," "ATPIAL," "ECOS," "4x DOS" etc. - is simply a descriptive acronym that describes what an item does/is.

Thank you Augee, I've learned a lot from you.

By the way, I was surprised that even TFB called it Mk 18 Mod 1.

CQBR - Close Quarters Battle Receiver

The nomenclature is Mk18 Mod 0/1
