Im new to AK's and am looking to buy some mags,  What do I need to look for??  will 40 rnd mags work in them??   Is an AK mag basically an AK mag, or are there certain things they need to have like AR mags?

You can buy standard ak mags like the ak47 waffle mags or steel mags which are just about the easiest to find. The 30 rounder is the most common you'll see available.

Buy Yugo 30rd AK mags.

They have a bolt-hold-open unigue to Yugo AK's. Others are copying their mags and cutting/modifying theirs.

Buy a few, and round out your collection, and make your set-up authentic, and worth more.
