I'm gonna set up my AK for deer hunting next year , so obviously I need a five rd. mag. I see they are offered in single & double stack .
My question is ,is one more reliable than the other ? Also will the single stack hang lower ?
Thanks ahead of time for any info !

It depends on how your receiver is cut. Is it setup to take single stack magazines or double stack magazines? It's either one or the other so there really is no option like you though.

Unless I'm crazy and someone out there is making a single stack magazine as wide as a double stack magazine.

Most 10rd double stack mags are the same length as 10rd double stack mags, so I would buy a 10rd mag, and put a block in it to keep it at 5rds during hunting season, and 10rds the rest of the time.

And double stack mags are for double stack receivers, and single stack mags are for single stack/lo cap receivers.
