Hey, I'am getting a WASR-10 and I was curious if it would be a good idea to put a scope on it.  I heard that AK's were inacurate and I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to shoot with a scope.  If so, could you give me some good refrences on where I could get one???

Thanks...hug.gif

I like shooting my Romanian over the irons but she is way more accurate with the PSO 1 scope that usually sits atop a Saiga 308.  Browse below...

Romys are pretty much 4 moa guns, and the rest is up to you.

Irons or red dots find targets much faster than scopes, since scopes have a more limited field of view. I do not tend to punch paper or shoot past 100 with my SAR1, so it likes the Kobra. Some versions of the 4x24 PSO are positioned to see the irons below, but the window is not huge...

I'm of the opinion that most modern firearms, unless defective, shoot better than most people are capable. There are outliers on both ends of both scales, but the question you should be asking is "how will I use this rifle" not "is this rifle worth a scope".

I find red dot sights invaluble in bringing newbie shooters up to speed - no parallax, no sight alignment, just put the dot on the target and fire. It is important to get people rewarded early in the learning experience to keep them engaged.

For my aging eyes, a deep-space telescope is a requirement for shooting beyond 50 yards or so. Your eyes may vary.
