decided to tourture my ak today. it was raining at the range today so i decided to see if i could burry my wasr 10 in the mud and see if it  would fire.

so after getting the rifle out of the mud i inserted a magazine racked it and the bolt doesnt quite close so i give it an extra little tap and it slams home fires all thirty rounds no problem.

here are some pics i forgot to bring the camera to the range but here are some pics of the rifle before and after.

Nice!
Did you refinish your stocks or did they come like that?
Can you tell me how you did it if you refinished them?

i refinised them my self i just sanded down the old wood and put a clear coat finish on there. the mud wiped right off in my hands while i was shooting it and if i did not have saftey glasses on i would have had dirt in my eyes.

this is what the wood looked like before

I wasn't sure I'd ever see it, but I think that's an AK that could do with a through cleaning.

Thats why all my rifles now are AK's except a couple .22 LR. Doesn't make sense to own a rifle that can't take mud/sand/ice and still work like the Ever Ready Bunny.... Nice rifle...... Have fun....

I hate to bring mine out of the safe, because it exposes it to light.

I would make fun of AR guys but last we did one of them took pictures of his being thrown in the air really high while it was raining.

Yeah, do the Arsenal test.  Submerge in water...then shoot.  Run it over with a heavy vehicle...then shoot.  Lastly, cover it in fine sand, if there's any around where you shoot, then fire it.
