What is the reason for doing this? is ee that the yugos come that way, and i think it looks pretty sharp polished or "in the white"  is there any other application or benifit for doing this other than looks? and would you do it to a polish underfolder? or would that not look correct? im new to teh ak stuff so be easy please

This is how AK's were originally, it looks good, and it gives it that vintage look!

oh hell yes, i even polished the carrier on my romainian. it really doesnt do any thing other then looks, however over time the metal that rubs will begine to polish its self during use and will accualy feel smoother and what i like to call glide faster.
