As you know the Galil was basically a refined AK 47. It along with the Uzi were designed by Uziel Gal. The Galil used a Valmet manufactured receiver along with a Colt manufactured barrel. Manufactured to IMI specifications. It is a very good battle rifle especially in harsh environments.
