My romo folding stock on my sar-2 is the lever button type, not the push button type.

The stock folds so that the rubber bumper pad does not contact the receiver, but the metal butt stock  does because it is "bent" to where the entire butt almost folds under the receiver.  This metal on metal contact is scratching the receiver.

How can i correct this without buying a new stock?

I was thinking that just having a torch heat it up and then bending it back into the right shape, and then refinishing it.

Would there be any problems with doing this?

Thanks in advance

Bending it back into shape would be your only fix,it should'nt hurt anything.
