The non "C" models can come w/o the cleaning rod too. I have one non "C" w/ cleaning rod and one non "C" w/o, I also have a "C" w/o.

You can buy the cleaning rods @ Classic Arms

These are "chopped" AK rods.

They will still work, and for $10 not a bad deal.

I dont have one yet, but the reason I was inquiring was because Ive called several places and they said the only models they have are the ones with the cleaning rods and the ones with out.  fo I figured I'd ask if the Draco "C" comes with a cleaning rod or not.  thanks

I do not understand how the places you call do not know what a "C" model is. Since they have to log it in their books as Model "DRACO-C". What is so hard about that? The originals or non "C" models would be logged in Model "DRACO". It is plain and clear right on the side of the gun. The "C" models that I have seen do not come factory with a cleaning rod. Plus they normally shipped with 2 mags and a cleaning kit standard.

To most stores they're all Dracos. However, if they stock the gun by the Century pt #, then the HG2159N is a "C", & a HG1916N is a non "C". I don't know any other way the vendor could classify the gun in their computer. Besides, these pt #'s are on big white labels on the outside of the box, so the employees wouldn't have to open the box to look inside. These 2 pt #'s would be on the vendor's invoice from Century.  GARY  N4KVE

From what I gathered talking to about a dozen online stores, they are selling so well, they wont go out of their way to check.  I was told by several if I order they'll just ship whatever is next in line, but they did ask me if I wanted one with or without a cleaning rod.  The only ones that were of some help were Midwest, out of stock, but he knew what I was talking about, and j&g sales, they told me they had 3 different models and to specify in the comments that I want model  HG2159N, and if they dont have it to cancel my order, so I did.  Guy I talked to at j&g said that will force them to look at what they have.

So the gun costs $375 shipped from Bud's. No tax, but $20-$25 for the FFL transfer, & you hope it'll be the model you want, & the cocking handle won't be sticking out the side of the box. I paid $369 at a local gunshow from Florida Gun Works. No shipping, no FFL transfer, but I paid tax. So I paid $398 out the door, got to choose the best from a pile of Dracos, & had it home in 5 minutes. Either way costs about $400, but for the above reasons it's nice to support the local guy, especially since it cost the same, & I chose my gun.  GARY  N4KVE

Some of us are not lucky enough to live near an area that has decent prices on any firearms, and have to rely on the internetz.  gunshow here about a month ago had a single draco with canted sights sell for $699, only draco in the show.  back in 2003 I almost bought my first arsenal sam 7 carbine (banned model) for $1200, until I got smart and bought them from the specialist gun shop in new hampshire for $550 each + shipping.

So in short I will not support price gouging local guys.

Yeah, I guess it sucks that there are no good vendors near you. At the local shows here, most vendors are crooks, looking for the big profits, but there are 3 who will do anything, even if it means dropping the price to make the sale. If you go back & forth between these 3 guys, they'll keep dropping the price until they're practically at cost. But because they sell 80-100 guns a day at the show, they still make money.  For anybody in South Florida,  I'm talking about Florida Gun Works, Shoot Straight, & Gun Country.  We are lucky here.  GARY  N4KVE

Put up a WTB ad for the cleaning rod.  This topic came up a few months ago and I sold my cleaning rod to someone that really wanted one.  I just never like the looks of mine w/the CR...

Where in TX do you live?
I picked one up at the saxet show here in San Antonio about 6 months ago for $369 + tax, and saw one at this past weekend's show for $375

Correct, the individual that does their cleaning rods use to make repos for the RC K98's he was selling awhile back. Those were nice and I am sure these chopped down ones will look like the originals.

South Texas near Mcallen, Either everything sold out by the time it got here or different vendors at different locations.  I have never seen a deal worth taking at a saxet gunshow here.  Not saying there isnt any deals on anything, just not on EBR's im looking for, including the draco.

Just recieved two from them today. One looks to be an original Draco rod, the other you can tell was chopped, but it still is a dam good job and worth $10.

Mine arrived today, but unfortunately it is about an inch to long for my Draco-C. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or if mine was just made wrong.

I chucked the rod up in a drill, re-contoured it, extended the threads and hacked the extra 1/4 inch off. Now it fits and works great. I guess I could have done then with any old AK rod.

Good to hear you got it to work, on the other hand you should still let Classic Arms know what they are selling does not fit it's intended application.

I let Classic Arms know a while back about their cleaning rods not fitting many of your folks Dracos. They made a revision on how they sell cleaning rods now and they are now fitting them to the pistols as they are sold.

Classic Arms:
"WE ARE HAVING THEM MADE TO FIT OUR CURRENT BATCH OF PISTOLS AND INSTALLING THEM HERE ON SITE. IF YOU HAVE AN EARLIER VARIATION DRACO THEY MAY OR MAY NOT REQUIRE SLIGHT MODIFICATION TO FIT YOUR FIREARM."
