Sounds like one of the Tulas. The arsenal marks were removed before we got them. We do have some Izhevsk that are intact. Feel free to return it for one of the Izhevsk.

"Sanitized" foreign aid?? Lack of arsenal markings would give the Soviets plausible deniability whenever their stuff showed up in the hands of "freedom fighters". Sort of the ChiCom M21 carbine-same exact thing as the Type 56 SKS but with no Chinese markings.
