kit prices took a big jump over the winter.
there are receiver blank center sections available for re-welding, but that applies only to class 07 manufacturers (otherwise, it is illegal to weld a machinegun receiver back together). if i do one, it won't be a semi. imo, a semi mg-42, 1919 or even an m-60 is a better way to go for a semi automatic belt fed. |

I have my belt fed 1919 (Rapid Fire) and it's a blast to shoot....
But the RPD appears to be sleek, lighter, and it shoots commie ammo. They did it with the Bren......someone has to do it with the RPD...... KF |

I talked to a C2 manufacturer about doing a semi for me (he had built a full auto for himself) and he commented that swithching from the open bolt mechanism to a working closed bolt mechanism was more difficult than he wanted to tackle.

Why can't it retain an open bolt mechanism? Is it because of how easy it would be to make it FA?

Hey Krink, just spend a few more $ and get the SOCOM M-11 RPD, It will be nice. And cheaper than a $28,000 to $33,000 transferable one too.

So.... someone makes/made an RPD clone based on a MAC? all I can say is WEAK.
How about those Auto-Ordnance Tommy guns? Those things are closed-bolt? |
