Maybe its just me, but I don't see front or rear trunions. Also, the barrel appears to have no holes drilled. I'd say all new parts and no trunions.

I don't get this whole "kit" thing. Is that what Century does, put parts kits together? To be legal they can bring in parts kits and put a certain amount of American parts on it? What else does a kit like this need? Can a mechanically inclined person put it together or do you need a bunch of special tools? If SARs are so cheap to buy can you get a Romanian kit and build it yourself?

sorry boys, we are talking 'machinegun money' here.
why spend... $800 plus shipping on an rpk-74 kit $600 plus shipping on a 4.45 vepr donar rpk $150 worth of usa made parts. my labor and time to fix the aborted vepr receiver, swap front ends, refinish, etc. .... ok...that's about $1750 to beat myself up on a semi-auto rpk? yeah, i could pull an 'ekie' and sell off the unused parts after advertising them on 4 gun board for sale forums to some dweeb that doesn't mind over-paying...but that just ain't me. for that kind of money i'll build something that runs. if arsenal inc. can sell a milled 7.62 rpk ASSEMBLED and ready to run for a grand, i'll be damned if i'll spend close to $2k to do the work myself. |
