What are some main things to look at when buying my first SAR-1? Also, what would be the maximum to spend on just the rifle? I dont want to get ripped off at a local gun store. Thanks

watch for straight sights, correctly aligned to the bbl.

almost all else is correctable easily by the changeout of parts.

headspace is also high on my list, but one needs to check that with gauges in hand prior to the sale.
